HOPES FOR PROSPERITY OP NEW ZEALAND (nMS ASSOCIATION TILKIIS.) WELLINGTON, October 18. ; Speaking last night to a rowdy Wek lington crowd, whose tumult drowned most of his words, the Hon. Ada* Hamilton (leader of the Nation*! Party) congratulated the RL Hon. M.; J. Savage and his party on a decisive : win. “We have tried to place the issues as we see them before ti11:.,; people,” .he said. “We did pur best, and the electors have decided that for another term of office they desire a Labour Government. We bow to the . will of the people. “I sometimes say that no man ha* fully experienced public life until h*< has won and lost an election. It is * good thing to have a decisive result I can only say I hope the people o( New Zealand will prosper, for the gobi of our country and the welfare of our , people transcends any personal desire* or ambitions. The people of New Zep. land have made their decision, and' 11 wish them well. “May I say a word of congratulation r to those members of the National Party, who have been returned, and to those who have fallen in the fight. be permitted to say: Thank you fo£ ' the gallant fight you have put üb.
