WHEAT EXPORT SCHEME

♦ CANADA NOT APPROACHED (Received October 14, 1.44 p.m.) OTTAWA, October 13. No official approach has been made to Canada by the United States about the proposal by the United States Secretary of Agriculture (Mr H. A. Wallace) for export allotments for wheat exporting countries. Mr Wallace also suggests a conference for the regulation of production. A message from Winnipeg states that the Premier of Manitoba (Mr J. Brachen) announces that his Government will propose a conference between Canada and the United States on the marketing of agricultural products. Representatives of wheat importing countries will be invited, also European marketing authorities.
