Instructions have been given by the Wellington City Council for the preparation of plans and estimates of improvements to the seating accommodation at the Basin Reserve, which ~can be completed in time for the Centennial celebrations. A sum of £l5O available for improvements to Hataitai Park is to be used in laying down a paved access from the tunnel road up to and round the park, and another reserve improvement to be put in hand is the extension of the golfhouse in Adelaide road to cater for increased patronage at the links.
