WILLOWBY CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
ACTIVITIES REVIEWED The anniversary tea and public meeting concluded the fifty-eighth anniversary celebrations of the Willowby Methodist Church, fables were decorated with daffodils, tulips, freesias, and blossom. The Rev. W. W. Avery presided at the public meeting, held later in the church. An excellent programme of music was presented by Mrs D. Shaw, Misses Audrey Ruddock, May Allan, Margaret Palmer, Messrs J. Johnston and Adrian Hayman, and the women's double quartet. The choir, under the baton of Mr A. S, Hayman, sang the* anthem, "Sweet is the Work." Reports of the activities of the various departments of the church were given by Mrs W. W. Avery (Ladies* Parsonage Guil<|J, Mrs F. H. Chapman (choir and Women's Missionary Auxiliary), Miss Hazel Lill (Young Peoples' Missionary Auxiliary), Miss Marjory Lill (Sunday, School), Miss May Davison (young women's Bible classes), Mr K. Roberts (young men's Bible classes), and Mr S. H. Lill (church trust).
