CANTERBURY CLUB’S ACTIVITIES HUT-BUILDING PROGRAMME Efforts to raise fund* to liquidate the debt el £32 on the Arthur’s Pass Hut, which will clear the way for a further but-building programme, are being made by the Canterbury Mountaineering and Tramping Club, according to the annual report. The report records that the use made by members of the Arthur’s Pass hut has justified it a hundredfold. Future plans include the erection of a bivouac in the Clyde river, a tributary of the Rangitata river, and the complete renovation of the Carrington Hut in the headwaters of the Waimakariri.
