THEFT OF HORSES

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)

GISBORNE, September 27. On charges of stealing five horses from Rangitukia, two Maoris, Renata McLean, and Nehe Terakahurumai Waiti, both of Jerusalem, East Coast were sentenced to fix months’ imprisonment b?/ Messrs R. H. Wicksteed and A. J. H. Kirkham. Justices of the Peace, in the Ruatoria Magistrate’s Court. The horses were valued at £4C 10s, and three separate charges were preferred against the men.
