* SHOPS CLOSED AND TRAFFIC STOPPED (Received September 7, 7.10 p.m.) RANGOON, September 6. The life of the city is paralysed because of a hartal (mourning strike), which is likely to last all week. All Indian shops are closed, and public transport has ceased.
