The United States War Department has awarded a 10,000,000-dol-lar contract for rapid-fire anti-air-craft guns sufficient to equip 32 regiments, for the defence of the key cities. The guns will be mounted on mobile units capable of a speed of 50 miles an hour. They will fire French 75-millimetre shells to a height of 30,000
