CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
FORTNIGHTLY SOCIAL HELD
The Canterbury Caledonian Society held its fortnightly social in the Caledonian Hall on Wednesday evening. Mr George Sey (vice-president) presided and was supported by Mr F. O. Neate (director). There was a good attendance of members and friends, and one new member was elected.
The programme, arranged by Messrs W. G. Foster and J. Berry, consisted of the following items:—Selections, Society’s pipe band; impersonation song, Miss J, Proven; Highland fling, MiSs Mary Thom; song, Mr Woods; piano-accordion solo. Mr Arthur Kiddey; “moments of magic," Mephisto; dance. Miss Billie Addis; song. Miss Jean Scott: seann triubbais. Miss Elaine Barnett; duet, Messrs Street and Swan; sword dance. Miss Joyce Fraser; song. Miss Sealey; Highland reel. Misses J. Fraser, E. Barnett, M. Thom, and G. Archer. The accompanist was Mr G. C. Russell and Mr George Bradford’s orchestra supplied the music for dancing.
