H.M.S. LEANDER AT PICTON

TO SAIL FOR AUCKLAND NEXT TUESDAY

[THE PRESS Special Service.] BLENHEIM, September 1. The cruiser H.M.S. Leander arrived at Picton to-day from Nelson, and is anchored off Mabel Island, about two miles from the wharves. She will be in port until next Tuesday, and will then sail for Auckland. During her stay a series of dances will be conducted by the Navy League to entertain the officers and men, and on Saturday a team from the cruiser will play a Rugby match against the Marlborough representative side.
