INTOXICATED IN CHARGE OF CAR (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) HAWERA, July 28. "This is a type of case which is fortunately rare among women," said the Magistrate, Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M.. when fining Irene Elma Martin £lO for intoxication in charge of a car. Her
licence W3S cancelled for a year. Suppression of the name was refused. Senior-Sergeant Mathieson said tba woman had backed into a constables car, and an investigation showed wax she was drunk. "She was so druns that she had to be supported by a doctor, as he was putting her througn the tests," said Senior-Sergeant Mathieson. "Her excuse was tnat sne was cold, end had two drinks at a hotel."
