PROPOSED CATHEDRAL FOR WELLINGTON.—The architect’s drawing of the projected Church of England Cathedral in Wellington. The plans of the edifice, which were submitted to the Diocesan Synod recently, may be subject to modification , in light of knowledge gained by the architect, Mr Cecil Wood, of Christchurch, during his present visit to Europe . Synod , approved a centennial appeal for £300,000—£200,000 for building the cathedral and the remainder for the Bishop’s fighting fund.
