GOVERNMENT ANALYST TO STUDY ABROAD
LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR MR L. H. JAMES [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON. July 21. Leave of absence for six months ha? been granted to Mr L. H. James, Government Analyst at Dunedin, to travel to England for scientific study. This announcement was made to-daj by the Minister for Scientific and Industrial Research (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan), who said that Mr James would study the latest developments in analytical chemistry, particularly in refei ence to the testing of water food gas. and milk supplies, and the disposal of dairy wastes, sewage, and other effluents.
