DARFIELD YOUNG FARMERS

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED FOR DEBATE Mr R. J. Westaway presided at' the monthly meeting of the Darfleld Young Farmers' Club. It was decided to accept the challenge of the local branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union to a debate, the subject being "That the young farmers of to-day have fewer opportunities for advancement than the young farmers of 1900." It was decided to invite the Ellesmere club to play a game of football. A challenge cup for a judging competition has been given to the club by Mr R. S. Gunn.
