♦ MANAGERS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT PROSPECTS SYDNEY, July 11. The All Blacks arrived by the Wanganella to-day. They are feeling very fit and well. The Wanganella encountered a Tasman gale and a heavy swell on Saturday night, otherwise the trip was a good "one. The managers of the team are ! optimistic and say that they expect I the side to develop into one of the best that has left the Dominion. The team trained in delightful crisp weather this afternoon. The New South Wales Rugby Union Council tendered a reception to the players this morning. The. New South Wales selectors will confer to-day about the team for Saturday. The winger, Kelaher, has already dropped out because uf. injuries, the other winger, Moran, is injured and is unable to train and the reserve winger. O’Brien, is also unfit. The team as originally chosen to represent New South Wales against the All Blacks in the opening match in Sydney on July 16 was as follows:—Rankin, Kelaher, Miller, Quinlivan, Moran, Richards (captain), C. Stone, Winder, Hodgson, Auland, Hutchinson, Malone, Lehman, A. Stone, and Ramsay. N.S.W. BACK EXPELLED BREACH OF AMATEUR STATUS (Received July 12, 12.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 11. The New South Wales Rugby Union has expelled L. G. Quinlivan for a breach of the rule relating to professionalism. Quinlivan had been selected to play at centre threequarters for New South Wales against the All Blacks.
