NEW BRIGHTON LIBRARY

INCREASE IN NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS The secretary reported to the monthly meeting of the committee of the New Brighton Library that subscriptions for June amounted to £l2 •10s, and the subscribers’ total showed an increase of 33.

Mr C. Gudge presided, and welcomed Mr C; Wroth. Who has filled the vacancy on the committee caused by the resignation of Mr C. J. Christian. A report was received from Mr W. E. S. Furby, the council’s representative, giving details of the progress of the alterations on the library building. The report was considered satisfactory. It was decided to ask subscribers to co-operate with the committee in the search for books which had not been returned.
