SYDENHAM CLUB STRONG FINANCIAL POSITION The annual meeting of the Sydenham Bowling Club was held recently, Mr F. Bishop (president) presiding over a large attendance. , , , . The report showed that the club had had a successful season. As the result of special treatment given the green at the close of the season, appearances Indicated a first-class' playing surface during the coming year; The membership had increased and the women’s section continues to be a valuable addition to the club’s activities. With a credit balance of £962, the balance-sheet revealed the club to be in a strong financial position. r Prizes won during the season were pre'sented. , The following officers were elected:— President, Mr E. E. Langley; vice-presi-dent, Mr J. Woolcock: secretary, Mr D. J. Ayson: treasurer, Mr A. Dickenson; auditor, Mr W. Gough; centre delegate, Mr. W. Britten; green supervisor, Mr D. J. Ayson: selector, Mr W. Britten; hon. gardener, Mr T. Cornish; general committee, Messrs C. Spearman, J. Whyte, T Hickman, and A. Besley; social committee, Messrs C. Spearman, J. Whyte, R. Garth, F Hickman, and E. Langley; match committee. Messrs T. Cornish, A. Besley, and W. Britten.
