ATHLETIC TESTS FOR FASCIST LEADERS

EIGHT OUT OF 64 COMPLETE PROGRAMME ROME, July 3. Of 64 high Fascist directors, only Signor Starace, the Secretary-Gen-eral of the Fascist Party, and seven others passed all their athletic tests. The hardest events, which were performed before Signor Mussolini, included vaulting over a row of upright bayonets, also jumping from a springboard through a blazing hoop, and vaulting over a war tank. Most of the entrants completed from four to seven of the tests. Thirteen completely failed.
