The stroke competition of the Avondale Ladies’ Golf Club has now been postponed until Tuesday,. July 12, and the fourball bogey, which was to have been played last Saturday, will' now be played next Saturday. - —6
RANGIORA CLUB
A- bogey match was played on the Rangier a'golf. course on Saturday; There was an entry of 44, including visitors from Christchurch, whose links were closed because of the wet weather. , The Rangiora course was In good order. Best scores A Grade —R. G. Grant 1 down. R. G. Edward 3 down, E. D. Masters 3 down, H. K. Klppenberger 5 down, J. D. Appleby 5 down. . _ _ _ B Grade—E. Hyde 1 down, L. C. Evans 4 down, L. V. Meyer 4 down, B. W. Eder 5 down.
HAGLEY CLUB
A four-ball bogey match was played by the Hagley Club on Saturday afternoon. R J S . U a! Fyfe (8) and E. E. England (9), 7 up; T. James (J 0) and F. Jamieson (17), 4 up: J. Wynn Irwin (9) and C. N. Haslam (12), 2 up; W. A. Purdie (8) and C. J. Goldstone (10), 1 up.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. Very shortly the various clubs in Christchurch will be holding their championship competitions. The player who can get a long ball down the middle of the fairway is the one who will be knocking on the door.
