FLAPPITY THE RABBIT
Once there was a rabbit called Flappily. He lived in a little bank near _ the sea. One day he said, “I will not go to bed to-night but I will stay out late.” So the naughty rabbit did not go inside that night when Mrs Rabbit called him. He ran away, but soon it got so dark that he wished he was at home. He could not find his way home, however.
Suddenly he heard a roar and in the moonlight he saw the big dog that had frightened all the rabbit villages around. When Mr Dog saw him he leapt at. him. But Flappity quickly dodged and started to run away, but Mr Dog was after him so fast that ha started to run into a burrow bank. He tried to swerve, taut he crashed into the bank so hard that he sent a boulder, which was on the. bank, toppling down • and knocked Mr Doig unconscious. That gave . Flappity time to get home. -Next day Flappity’s mother found out that Mr Dog had bgett found unconscious. —PAT TIMINGS. AJ3„ J
