POULTRY SHOW

GOOD DISPLAY AT RANGIORA

Entries for the fortieth annual show of the North Canterbury Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club, which opened at Ranglora yesterday, were the highest for several years. The exhibits were of a high standard, and competition in most classes was keen. The poultry sections were well supported, though there was a slight decrease in the open classes. This, however, was offset by an Increase in the utility section. There was a large increase in the entries for canaries ana budgerigars, the figures for the budgerigar section being 191, compared with 37 last yC Thc total number of entries was 943, compared with 663 last year, 765 in 16.16, and 805 in 1935.
