SEA FISHERIES REPORT

COPIES TO BE DISTRIBUTED (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 23. The Minister for Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) announced to-night that the report of the Sea Fisheries Investigation Committee, which was laid on the table of the House of Representatives on March 15 last, has now been received from the Government Printer, ana arrangements are being made for the report to be distributed to all interests concerned in the industry. The investigation conducted by the committee was very exhaustive in detail, and the report covers every aspect of the sea fisheries industry.

“The Government will later give consideration to putting the committee’s recommendations into force, but no forward move will be made until the units of the industry, including fishermen, have had a full opportunity of studying the purport of the committee’s findings and recommendations,” Mr Sullivan said.
