HEAVY RAIN IN TARANAKI
MINOR INTERRUPTIONS TO TRAFFIC NEW PLYMOUTH, June 21. Heavy rain in different parts of Taranaki last night caused minor interruptions to road and railway traffic through slips on the Stratford main trunk railway. A slip occurred between Pohoi kura and Whangamomona, and ! traffic was disorganised for about four hours until the debris was ; cleared away. The road over Strathmore Saddle was also blocked by a slip, which was not cleared until ; this afternoon.
