THE GANZON-DUNN FIGHT
TO THB EDITOR OT THB PRESS. Sir, —I feel sure with all Mr Goldsmith’s sincere disappointment he with 3999 other sports, will be there next Saturday when Ganzon meets Clark. He simply could not stop away after seeing such a wonderful night’s sport last Saturday. It is obvious that there were many with him who thought Ganzon won, the writer amongst them, but why worry? These decisions now and again are inevitable in all sport. Mr E. Pocock and the judges are men of very wide experience, and until some star arrives, and one never knows it may be Mr Goldsmith, we cannot do more than give our very best. Now for some sound advice. Let Mr Goldsmith get in touch with the writer to arrange a meeting with our committee, and perhaps after a strenuous examination, he would be given a public try-out next Saturday. I feel sure, knowing the good sport he is, that he alone would be a draw. We have a full meeting to-morrow evening, so let him come along and take some of the trials off the of the very sincere officers of the Christchurch Boxing Association.—Yours, etc A. F. STACEY. Vice-President. Christchurch Boxing Association. June 20, 1938.
