THEFT OF CLOTHES
WANGANUI, June 21. Joseph McCarthy, who deserted his ship in February, 1937, and has spent most of the intervening time in gaol, was sentenced by Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., to six months' imprisonment for the theft of two pairs of trousers, an overcoat, and a dressing gown at Patea, and two suits of clothes at Waverley.
