FINAL TRAINING RUNS AKABOA RELAY RACE THIS WEEK Final preparations for the Takakc-Aka-road relay race to be held next Saturdayoccupied the attention of cross-country runners over the week-end. Good time was made at all runs. Details are as fallows:— BAPTIST The Baptist packs wise guests of Mr and Mrs'S. Handiiddrs. Galway awaan Bryndwr. A trail was laid by S. Bandssides and W. Handtetdes. but was last not long after the packs started. A dHtence «f about 10 miles was covered but am result was taken. In tribute to a prominent supporter of the dub. Mr S. Odezlng. whose death has occurred, members stood fbr a perlnS in silence. UNIVERSITY Members of tire University Oob were guests of Mr J. W. Spencer. Heatheote Arms Hotel. The packs covered about seven miles principally on bill country, but no paper was laid. Fast pack results were:—R. W. E. Xayicr 1. D. H. Oldfield 2, J. Rogers 3. ANGLICAN The Anglican packs were guests of Mr and Mrs C. H. Clibbom. Bristol street.,* St. Albans. D. H. Clibbom and C. A Whyte laid a trail of five miles through Marshland and Papanui. Results were;— Fast Pack—D. W. Forbes 1. J. F. Booker 2, A. 'Brady 3. Intermediate Pack—J. Stephens 1. H- G. Holmes 2. R. Densem X ' Slow Pack—XL A. Cumbecpateh I. SJones 2, G. MitcheiH X METHODIST The Methodist Ctnb ran from the bone of Mr H. Clothier. Slater street. BWbmond. The packs covered a trail of about six miles. Results were:— Fast Pack—C. N. Thornton 1. H. Doan. 2, D. Blewett 3. Intermediate Pack—E. Turiand X. A. Barker 2. J. Reynolds X Slow Pack— H. Shelton 1, H. LeaaSey 2. H. Thomas'X CHRISTCHURCH T. H. Bain. J. T. KotouL amt S. Haslam, will give a talk to aentaa after the evening’s training at the Richmond Kindergarten rooms to-morrow. MARIST Members of the Marist Club were guests of Mr and Mrs Costello. Southampton street. A run was held over a five-mile course, going up to Himtsbuiy am Hu paper was laid.

CHRISTCHURCH LADIES* PIONEER CLUB
Members of the . Christchurch Ladies* Pioneer Harrier Club were the guests of Mrs Argyle. Brittain terrace. Lyttelton. The trail, which was laid by S. Meurrtsen and G. Glasson. led along: Godßey quay, around the - dock, across the* reclaimed 'ground to the domain and, house by way of Brittain terrace. Results:— Fast Pack—B. Thomson 1. M. Lee 2. C. Sheridan 3.
