And you don t mind little accidents like scratching stars when you feel like that. . r nr Lady Gay is proud of the way the Shipmates and Sunbeams are rallying to her call. Last week, she said, “Do something for the old people,” and immediately letters came rolling, tumbling, rushing, in. . , One club, the Glerlwill, at Beckenham, is making bedsocks. Warm, comfortable, woolly ] bedsocks. Another is knitting hot-water bottle covers. A boys ’ club, where the ] are all very young, is working hard at a peggy -SQuare Quilt, Still another club ts making j cushions. , ’ Do you wonder Lady Gay scratched her nose on a star? Why, it was only to be expected. x And—here is news for you. A fete for town members and clubs will be held itt September. If you wish you may have a stall at this gathering, and start to work for it now. What sort of stalls will there be? Well, all sorts. Put on your thinking caps, and decide just which one you would like to have in your charge. Then write and tell Lady Gay. There will be more news of this fete later. _ And—Lady Gay doesn’t mind that scratchy star a bit. She still feels proud. So she signs herself PROUD LADY GAY.
