"PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given in A accordance with the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1925” sections 51/59 and “The Counties Act, 1920” Section 120, "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926” and amendments thereto, that it is the intention of the Amuri County Council, at its meeting to be held on the Ist day of July, 1938, to make and levy a General Rate of one penny in the pound (Id in the £1) in each of the Hanmer, Pahau, Waiau, Rotherham and Lyndon Ridings; such rates to be on the Capital Value of all rateable properties on the Valuation Rolls of the County of Amuri, and a Water Race Maintenance charge of 2/3rds of a penny in the £1 on all rateable property in the Waiau Plains Water Race district.
