MOTOR-CYCLING
CANTERBURY AUTO-CYCLE CLUB Members are reminded that the Ashburton Motor-cycle Club’s annual smoke concert will be held to-morrow night, and a party will leave Victoria square at 6.15 p.m. The first of the winter sports excursions will be held on Sunday to Porter’s Pass, and members' and their friends are asked to assemble at Victoria square at 8.30 a.m. A comprehensive programme of events has been drawn up for the first half-year, and will be announced later.
PIONEER MOTOR CLUB
On Tuesday evening, at the Barrington Bowling Club's pavilion, Barrington Park, Spreydon, the Pioneer Motor Club will hold another of its popular socials. Commencing at 7.30, a long, varied and interesting programme of films, musical and “mystery” items, cpmpetitons, and dancing, will be provided, and a happy evening is assured all members and their friends. This function is being staged as the result of many requests received after the first of the series held last week. Tickets may be obtained from members of the committee and the secretary.
