GERMAN CLAIM OF “DEATH RAY”

APPARATUS FITTED ON WAR AEROPLANES FRONTIERS EQUIPPED TO STOP ENEMY FLIGHTS LONDON, June 14. The Rome correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” states that a “death ray” apparatus has been installed on German war aeroplanes, according to the National Radio Agency, which asserts that Heinkel bombers, equipped With heavy oil engines, are carrying ultra shortwave sets which broadcast waves causing the fall of aeroplanes. Similar sets are being erected on the German frontiers, which, combined with captive balloons, similarly equipped, will arrest enemy flights across Germany.
