♦ —- PERSONAL Mr J. Roberts, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand Labour Party and secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Federation, arrived in Lyttelton yesterday morning and will remain a few days. Inquest An inquest was opened yesterday .before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M., Coroner, into the death of Thomas Madden, a railway storeman, who was killed at Lyttelton on Thursday night by being run over by a train. Evidence of identification was given by Mary Helen Madden, of 88 Wildberry street, Woolston, wife of Madden,_ and the inquest was adjourned sine die.
