HIGHER RAILWAY REVENUE
HEAVY CARRIAGE OF MANURES FIGURES FOR CANTERBURY DISTRICT Heavy quantities of lime and manures are being transported on the railways in the Canterbury district and other goods and passenger traffic is also being well maintained. The revenue for every class of traffic for the four weeks ended May 28 showed an increase over that for the corresponding period of last year. The revenue amounted to £109.032, as against £100,694 in May of last year. The figures for the last four-weekly period, with a comparison for those of .1937, are as follows: — Traffic
