SOCIETY FOR IMPERIAL CULTURE

“The Task ■of the Politician” was the lecture for the evening at the monthly meeting of the Society for Imperial Culture on Saturday.

The following musical programme was given:—Pianoforte solos, “Romance” (Brahms) and “Scherzo in E Flat Minor” (Brahms), Miss Alice Althea Slack; vocal solos, “How Many a Lonely Caravan,” “In the Great Bazaar,” and “When I Awake” (from “A Lover in Damascus”), Miss Nellie Lowe; “To the Unknown Goddess” (Gerald Cobb), “To the Virgins” (A. G. Thompson), and "It is a Wondrous Mystery” (Liszt), Mr A. G. Thomrsiii.

A vote of thanks to the musicians and lecturer was carried 'on the motion of Dr. Francis O. Bennett.
