NEW REST ROOM IN ASHBURTON
SITE IN BARING SQUARE
IS SUGGESTED The opinion that there was no more suitable site for a new women’s rest room in Ashburton than in Baring square, at the corner of East and Havelock streets, was expressed by Mr J. Shaw-at the meeting of the Borough Council last evening. He also suggested that a fountain should be erected at the same corner. “It is one of those - things that we will definitely have to deal with,” said the Mayor (Dr. G. I. Miller), on whose suggestion the discussion was deferred till the estimates were being considered later in the evening. The estimates were considered in committee.
