CONDITIONS IN THE SOVIET UNION
TO THE BDltoa OR THE PRESS. Sir, —I venture to suggest that Mr Beck collect and arrange his stories about Russia into a book of Russian fairy tales. All the Trotskyists dnd foreign spies could be the wicked fairies. There is rather a scarcity of good fairies—no one much except Stalin. The Dean of Canterbury would, of course, be the fairy godmother. The profits from the sale of the book might go to relieve starving Russians.—Yours, etc., G. F. SEWARD. Lincoln. May 11, 1938.
