SCOTTISH SOCIETY
ANNUAL meeting held Mr G. M. Teller presided over the annual meeting of the Scottish Society last evening. The balance-sheet showed a successful year’s operation's, with a surplus Of income over expenditure. Forty-six,, new members joined during the year Thanks were expressed to the president of the women’s committee, Mrs H. Walker, and the members for their work in raising £3O for the society’s funds, and to all others who had pistpdThe following officers were elected: —Chief, Mr G. M. Telfer; council, Messrs W. S. Ferguson. J. Kennedy, E D McDonald, D. M. Mackintosh. J. McLachlan, the Rev. J. Miller, Messrs M. Shier and R. T. Smith. Mr Teller thanked the members for re-electing him, and said that he would do all in his power to further the interests of the society.
