BASKETBALL DANCE AT ASHLEY
Members of the Cheviot basketball team were entertained at a dance given in their honour in the Ashley School. There was a very large attendance, and dance music was supplied by Mrs J. Vallance and Mr J. Cameron, extras being played by Mrs E. Taylor. Mr A. Lindsay was master of ceremonies; Novelty dances were won by Mr E. Turner and partner, and Mr L. Cooke and partner. Those present included. Mesdames D. McCrenor, A. Schmidt, G. Mehrtens, Taylor, C. Vette, P. Lindsay. Misses Z. Beattie, M. Hutchins, R. Vette, Mi Wright, H. Drake, I. Timms, D. Vette, M. Newell, E.
