SIGN OF THE TAKAHE

GIFT OF STAINED GLASS WINDOW An offer to provide a stained glass window for the Sign of the Takehe has been made by Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, who has also forwarded a large cheque for the post of materials fund. He has been a generous supporter of the work since it began. The window will have as its centrepiece the arms of the Clark family, of which Lady Rhodes was a member, and will be placed on the west wall of the main dining-room. A contribution towards the funds has also been received from Mr A* McNeil, of Cashmere.
