SUBSTITUTE FOR BARNES
REFUSED
BOARD STATES REASON FOR DECISION

SYDNEY, April 29
It is officially announced that the Australian Cricket Board of Control has refused the request for a substitute player for S. Barnes. The board takes the view that there are 16 players already in England and that this allows for an emergency such as has arisen.
