AEROPLANE CRASH IN SURREY
TWO NEW ZEALANDERS BADLY INJURED
LONDON, April 26,
Two New Zealanders, Colin Byers and Ernest Ratcliffe, were admitted to hospital after their aeroplane crashed in Surrey. A dozen policemen had to lift the aeroplane to extricate the occupants. _ . Byers, who suffered facial injuries, was trapped in the cabin. He warned the rescuers of the danger of the petrol tank catching fire. Ratcliffe, who received a broken thigh, besought the rescuers to get his friend out first.
