The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has awarded a pension and a certificate of service to coxswain John Foley, of Youghal. County Cork, who is retiring after serving for more than 20 years as coxswain end nearly 10 years as second coxswain cf the lifebeat. It has also awarded a certificate of service to second coxswain David Ellis, who is retiring after serving in that post for 20 years.
