YOUNG MEN’S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION
LADIES’ AUXILIARY
The monthly meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Young Men’s Christian Association was held yesterday afternoon in the "Cosy Corner,” Mrs W. Machin presiding. The executive put forward a motion that thd time of meeting be changed to the second Monday in the month, and this was passed unanimously. Reports on the auxiliary's activities during the past month, and an outline of the further work was discussed. An afternoon social, with a travel talk by Mrs W. Machin, was arranged for the middle of May, the proceeds to go towards the kitchen alterations adjoining the concert hall. A letter of condolence was sent to Mr Harkness, the physical culture director, in his recent bereavement, and a letter of sympathy and cheer to Mrs Begg who is at present a patient in the Little Company of Mary Hospital. Mrs Clay was appointed to the executive, and Mrs Fielding was welcomed as a new member. Mrs and Miss Clay were the hostesses for the afternoon.
