VISIT TO WARSHIPS AT AKAROA

The Major of Akaroa (Mr F. R. E. Davis) with the Town Clerk (Mr P. G. Riches), and Archdeacon A. J. Petrie, paid an official call on Captain L. C. P. Tudway, of H.M.S. Leith, on Tuesday. Commander Loriston-Clark. of H.M.S, Wellington, was also present. A visit was also made to the training ship, Wakakura, in command of Lieutenant P. H. Phibbs. The return visit was made ashore yesterday afternoon.
