CYCLIST’S DEATH IN HOSPITAL
COLLISION WITH LORRY
(VBKSB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)
TAURANGA, April 1. Harry Benfell, a married man, aged 59. with an adult family of four, employed at the Tauranga Citrus Association’s factory, rode out from the factory on a bicycle and collided with a motor-lorry driven by Mr Frederick William Hopkin, He died some hours later in hospital. Evidence at the inquest disclosed that Benfell fell under the vehicle, a wheel or the differential passing oven his head, inflicting severe injuries. A verdict was returned accordingly, a rider adding that no blame was .attachable to the lorry driver.
