There was a busy scene this mom* ing at the Blenheim Defence Office, the assembly point lor members of the Marlborough “motorised” .squadron of the Nelson-Maxiborough Mounted Rifles Regiment winch’ left to' spend 12 days under ‘ canvas at Motokarara. Altogether about 60 of all ranks left Blenheim, and further members were to be picked up at Seddon, Ward, and Kaikoura, making the total about 90. Twenty motor-cycles, eight heavy mechanical transport vehicles, mid seven cars' were used to convey the squadron south.
