traSSS ASROCIAIIOM TELKiSHAM ) WELLINGTON. March 23. The Cabinet has approved further contracts for the construction of houses under the Slate housing scheme. Details* were announced to-day by the Parliamentary Under Secretary in Charge of Housing, Mr J. A. Lee. They are; —Mount Albert. Auckland six houses to T. M. Taylor, Point Chevalier. Auckland, T. F. Playfair has secured a contract for four houses, two semi-d(/tached; Napier, H. Faulknor has secured contracts for 14 single house units, and three two-house units, A. Bryan for four single house units, F. and R. Smith one contract for two single house units; Wairoa, D. Glengarry Ltd.. 12 houses, two semi-de-tached; Timaru. G. W. Moorehead, 16 single house units and two two-house units. W. A. Petrie five single house units; Hokitika, J. L. Pugh, seven houses two semi-detached, F. G. Reed three houses: Greymouth. J. A. Hart, Ltd., 13 single house units and one two-house unit. The tender of Morgan and Risk for stormwater and sewer drainage at Westport has been accepted. In Christchurch. Job Osborne and Company’s offer for the sinking of an artesian bore on Corrigan’s block, has been accepted.
