OBITUARY
MR C. T. READ
The death occurred recently at hi* residence, Watford street, Papamu, of Mr Charles Thomas Read. He was born at Dunedin 61 years ago and after leaving school he altered the service of the New Zealand Railways, where he remained until his retire meat seven years ago. For the last 16 years Mr Read wm closely connected with St. Paula Church, Papanui, where he held many offices, including that of vicar’s warden. He is survived by his widow, two sons—the Rev. S. C. Read, of East Taieri, Otago, and Mr E. B. Read, of the staff of the Rangiora High School, at present in England—and one daughter, Miss Dorothy Read. ~ The funeral took place at St Paula Churchyard, when there was a tap attendance of mourners. The services at the church and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. E. -A. Osmers, assisted by the Rev. W. R Orbell. Members of the vestry acted as pall-bearers. . ... , . The death occurred this afternoon of Mrs Myra Wilson, the wife of Mr Adam H. Wilson, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Gisborne, aged 58 years. She was formerly Miss Blackmore, and was born in Greymouth. In her**younger days she was golf champion on the West Coast. She had been ill for eight years after an accident-
