TEN DAYS MORE

* END OF PARLIAMENTARY SESSION NEAR OUTLINE OF BUSINESS fIHK PRESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, March 7. It is the hope of the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) that the present session of Parliament will close on Wednesday, March 17. To hasten progress, the House of Representatives will be asked to sit on Saturday and Monday next. The next session will start earlier than usual, because of this early finish. The Prime Minister gave an outline of the business to come before the House before the adjournment is taken. When the House met to-mor-row afternoon, it would continue the discussion on the Pensions Amendment Bill after which consideration would be given to the Iron and Steel Industry Bill, providing for the establishment of the industry in New Zealand as a State enterprise Several other Bills were due for introduction. These included the Thames Borough Empowering Bill, extending the present system of commissioner control in the borough, the Native Purposes Bill which was, really in the nature of a washing-up measure, and a Finance Bill, which would contain clauses adjusting anomalies in the incidence of taxation.
