"THE PARADE OF STARS"
REVUE AT THEATRE ROYAL "The Parade of Stars," the second programme of the Connors and Paul Revue Company, is in its last week at the Theatre Royal. The performance includes singing, dances, sketches, and novelty acts and settings of a high standard. The drolleries of Syd Beck are the highlights of the humorous part of the programme. He can never have been seen to better advantage than in the sketches in this revue. He is ably supported by Mike Connors and Cecil Scott, both of whom provide an excellent foil for his comic antics. But humour is not the only attraction of the revue. The dance and song scenas which form the spectacular background of the show are of a very high standard. The most effective is perhaps that entitled "Loveliness," in which Cecil Scott and the chorus introduce Paulette in her even more sensational sequel to her famous fan dance, "the veil dance."
