RANGIORA MUSICAL SOCIETY
SATISFACTORY CREDIT BALANCE OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR The financial statement presented at the first annual general meeting of the Rangiora Musical Society last night showed a credit balance of £ll 14s Id, which was considered satisfactory. Reference was made in the annual report to the presentation of Haydn's "The Creation," in the Rangiora Town Hall during the year, by the society, with the assistance of the Christchurch Harmonic Society and the Malvern choir. Mr; F. T. Ager presided. The following officers were elected:— Patron. Mr V. C. Peters; president, Mr F. T. Ager; vice-presidents, Messrs C. J. Keir and L. P. Devlin; secretary, Miss R. Horrell; treasurer. Mr M. J. Bell; librarian. Mr E. Rice; conductor, Mr H. B. Sparks; deputy-conductor, Mr L. P. Devlin; accompanists, Mesdames H. L. Sparks, R. Logan, E. Louisson; management committee, Mesdames Clark. Perryman a Mr Webber. It was decided to hold a social evening on March 21. The first practice of -tfie society, will be held on, March, 2&.
